Job Opportunities

Equipment Operator Position

Grigsby Farm is a fifth-generation, large family farm located in west-central Illinois currently seeking a skilled, full-time farm equipment operator. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable in farm equipment operation, have an agricultural background, take pride in the work they perform, and help foster an environment that promotes the success of our family operation.

The primary responsibilities of the farm equipment operator are the running and maintenance of equipment used in planting, spraying, tillage operations, and harvesting of crops. At Grigsby Farm we take pride in owning and using the latest equipment and are therefore seeking an operator who is experienced, but also excited to learn and embrace innovative technology. Our farm uses late-model John Deere equipment and has excellent facilities. The duties of the position will vary based on the season and the needs of the operation. Off-season work typically involves routine maintenance of equipment as well as farm and land improvement projects. With this in mind, it’s important that a candidate be flexible and able to work productively with others as needs arise. We are looking for individuals with a passion for agriculture, an enthusiasm for learning, and an ability to be adaptable in an ever-growing industry. We are incredibly excited to provide guidance to the right candidate and share in the opportunities available within the agricultural industry.

Hired candidate will receive a $1500 sign-on bonus to be paid upon completion of first six months of employment.

Additionally, our company will provide up to $1000 per month towards premiums for medical, dental, and vision benefits. We also offer retirement contributions, paid vacation days and holidays, and a year-end bonus. Relocation package will be considered for the right candidate.

Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years work experience as a farm equipment operator with hourly wage dependent upon previous experience. Candidate must be able to pass a drug screening.

If you feel that you are not a candidate for this position, but know someone who

is, we do offer a $500 Referral Bonus if we place your referral into this position.
